Fibreshape - measuring the length and thickness of natural or man-made fibres
Looking for a tester or quality control solution for wood, cotton or other fibres?
Fibreshape is a quality control and characterisation system for fibre applications. It is unique in its set of features, simple user interface, and rapid characterisation process, from the sample preparation to the printed certificate.
The measurement range is from 2 μm fibre width to 30 cm fibre length.
To get to know more about the Fibresahpe family see the Fibreshape family product sheet or the descriptions below.
Four kinds of Fibreshape systems exist:
- Fibreshape Automatic - where the samples are fed automatically by the sample feeder on the scanner. (sample feeder: patent pending).
Fibreshape Automatic consists of a special A4 scanner, an automatic sample feeder and an integrated computer. It allows to measure the objects in transmission or reflective light mode. The measurement size ranges from 30 μm to 30 cm in fibre length. For more information see the Fibreshape Automatic product sheet.
- Fibreshape Standard - where the samples are distributed stepwise by hand
Fibreshape Standard consists of a special A4 scanner with a hand-driven sample feeder, a high resolution film scanner (transmission mode only), optionally a digital microscope and a computer. The A4 scanner allows to measure the objects in transmission or reflective light mode. The measurement size ranges from 30 μm to 30 cm in fibre length. The film scanner is shown below. Supported size range of the microscope is 3- 150 μm in fibre length.
- Fibreshape Light
Fibreshape Light consists of a high resolution film scanner (transmission mode only), a digital microscope and a netbook. The measurement size ranges from 3 μm to 3 mm in fibre length.
- Fibreshape Microsscan - new and unique imaging system
